The Center

The Asian Institute of Management – TeaMEnergyCenter for Bridging Societal Divides (Center) was established as an endowed institution in 2004, with the vision of “A Society Without Divides.” In working towards this vision, the Center has been performing the mission of developing leaders, primarily through the cultivation, in both theory and practice, of the Bridging Leadership Framework as an appropriate and effective leadership approach for addressing societal divides, in Mindanao, the Philippines, and the Asian region.

To date, the Center has conducted more than sixty (60) Bridging Leadership Trainings and Workshops for various sectors; conducted ten (10) Public Lectures for development managers; and facilitated five (5) Consultative Meetings to sustain the collaborative processes for the various Bridging Leadership programs conducted.

Approximately two thousand individuals have participated in the Center’s Bridging Leadership endeavors, among these top and mid-level managers and leaders in various institutions that cover the public sphere (e.g. local government units, government line agencies, military, civil society, international aid institutions, etc).

The TeaM Energy Foundation provides the endowment that has made the Center possible. In addition, various institutions have partnered with the Center in the last five years in working towards the mission of developing leaders, by providing financial and institutional support. Primary among these are the AIM’s Center for Development Management, the Synergos Institute, the British Embassy Manila, the Australian Embassy, and the Jollibee Foundation.
