Jollibee Foundation Citizen Responsive Leadership Development Program

Program objectives

The CRLDP is a program designed to develop capacities of local institutions in facilitating social change.  In 2010, it would be implementing four sets of innovative strategies that would foster multi-stakeholder engagement in four areas in the Philippines.

 

Background

The Citizen Responsive Leadership Development Program (CRLDP) is a capacity building program for local Academic Institutions.  It is a joint project between the AIMTEaMEnergyCenter for Bridging Societal Divides and the Jollibee Foundation in the years 2007 – 2010. 

In four years it has engaged and partnered with twenty one (21) academic institutions all over the Philippines in the developing the processes and content on the most effective and efficient way of developing the capacities of local institutions in facilitating multi-stakeholder engagements for social change.  It is now currently writing the manual that would serve as the basis and the foundational learnings of how in engaging local institutions.

From partnership management, to training and capacity building and co-strategizing for new institutional arrangements, the program has harnessed the experiences of local partners and communities in facilitating and leading social change.

 

Major Activities

 

In 2010, the CRLDP has partnered with four academic institutions – DavaoDoctorsCollege, Davao Medical Schools Foundation, Fr. Saturnino Urios and University of St. La Salle in creating new and innovative methods of engaging local leaders in leading multi-stakeholder work.  The processes that were employed were the following:

  1. Training and CapacityBuilding
  2. Coaching and co-strategizing

 

Targeted Accomplishments for 2010

For the rest of 2010, the program is excited to achieve the following achievements.

  1. A Manual that details the processes and methodologies of local partnership engagement in facilitating multi-stakeholder work.
  2. Innovative strategies implemented by four academic institution partners concerning the following objectives.

Davao Doctors College

 

o   50% increase of new local stakeholders / donors in the BLT program for 2011 & beyond

o   85% of BLT pupils garnered assing grade of 80 at year – end

 

Davao Medical Schools Foundation

o   Common understanding of the faculty, staff and students on the CES principles, goals & objectives

o   Sustainability Plans operationalized in the 5 BLT schools

o   Increased awareness of the stakeholders on the BLT program

o   Community initiated projects in support to the BLT program

 

Fr. Saturnino Urios

o   Prototype of the Community Builders – Bridging Leadership program for Kapitbahayan (KB) Leaders and GK Caretakers

o   ELA Formulation of the City Government of Butuan

 

University of St. La Salle

o   Organization and formation of the education alliance in BagoCity

o   Stronger institutional relationship forged between BALAYAN (USLS) and AIMTeamEnergyCenter (AIM)
