The serene BayView Accommodations played host to the Citizen Responsive Leadership Development Program (CRLDP) on August 4-7, 2009 as sixteen (16) local Bridging Leadership Trainers went through a four day intensive training on Bridging Leadership Content Deepening and Design Making Workshop. The participants were selected based on criteria that proved they have done personal application of the Bridging Leadership framework and are interested to pursue a coaching engagement with their local leaders in their respective areas. From the training, ten (10) localized training designs on Bridging Leadership Orientation Workshops are set to be implemented in the next two months. During this time, the CRLDP program team would be doing hand-holding coaching in order for local partners to continue to gain confidence in facilitating local workshops and coaching local Bridging Leaders. These efforts are geared so that local capacity is strengthened. In turn, the capacity of BL Trainers would be an available resource for Bridging Leaders who needs assistance in facilitating local stakeholder engagements.
The participants represent institutions that have signified interest to do applications of Bridging Leadership locally, they are: Davao Doctors’ College, Davao Medical School Foundation – Institute of Primary Healthcare, Fr. Saturnino Urios University, St. Michael’s College, University of Iloilo, University of St. La Salle, Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology, St. Mary’s University, Philippine Military Academy, Command General Staff College, Department of Education, Region V (Bicol) Division of Albay and LGU - Tamparan, Lanao del Sur.
